What if you had bought crypto?
Pick a coin, a starting year and an amount. See what you'd have today, in lei or another currency, and compare it with another coin, the S&P 500 or gold.
An estimate, not an offer or a recommendation. Actual terms depend on the bank and on your situation.
How it's calculated
Each month, the amount invested buys the coin at that month's average price, expressed in the currency you chose. At the end, everything you bought is valued at the average price of the last completed month. Dollar prices are converted at the monthly average BNR rate, so the result includes exchange-rate changes.
Bitcoin uses the daily average price published by Blockchain.com. The other coins use the daily closing price of their dollar pair on Binance, so their history starts on the day Binance listed them. A coin appears here once it has at least 13 months of prices.
The coins offered are the ten largest by market value today. Choosing from today's winners flatters the past: coins that fell out of the list along the way aren't shown. The simulation leaves out trading fees, the spread between buying and selling prices, and taxes.
Cryptocurrency prices swing sharply and you can lose everything you put in. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
